A sport that is growing in popularity, Canine Musical Freestlye combines components of basic obedience to heeling and tricks. Paired with fun music, dog and handler teams have the opportunity to create an entertaining performance. Freestyle is a blast for dog and handler and the best part is, you don't need any dance experience.

Intro to Weight Pull:
Finally, a class to teach you and your dog how to pull - the RIGHT way! This class serves as an introduction to the equipment, the competitive sport of weight pull and how to train safely. We'll touch on some rules, safe handling and appropriate pulling technique while teaching your dog a new and fun job! All equipment provided. Learn the benefits of positive reinforcement and how to build drive & motivation without losing focus or control. The emphasis here is on fun and safety to ensure dogs and humans have the best possible experience! All breeds (and mixed breeds) are welcome (yes - we have harnesses for small dogs) and all levels of experience are encouraged to attend! A foundation in basic obedience is a pre-requisite for all participating teams, as is the need for a positive attitude and a willingness to learn all about the sport of weight pull!

PETIQUETTE® handling classes and seminars focus on care and conditioning of the show dog, basic ring routines, pre-ring procedures and nerve management, proper ring etiquette and dress, stacking, gaiting, and free-baiting, preventing undesirable behaviors in the ring, attention training, handling and grooming tricks and hints on competing with the pros. Training is intended to address the whole dog and specifically to strengthen the bond between dog and handler for optimum performance. Training is partitioned and incremental, leading to a series of successes culminating in a final, well-choreographed ring presentation. The dog will also be exposed to a variety of simulated ring conditions. THIS IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE HANDLING INSTRUCTION. Above all, PETIQUETTE® classes are successful in instilling a strong performance/show drive in its canine students. PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS AVAILABLE. Intro to CDSP Novice Obedience:
Companion Dog Sports Program is the newest adventure in Competitive Obedience. With a more 'real life' feel, CDSP is the perfect place to get started. It is also an excellent venue for the more experienced handler with a new dog getting ready for the ring! In this class we will discuss the rules of CDSP, learn the individual exercises and do full run throughs.

Novice/Open Class:
Relationship building games, proper ring etiquette and attention skills are all important features of the class, in addition to the traditional exercises of Novice & Open, as well as some Utility exercises. This class is open to those currently working in Competitive Obedience.

Motivational Heeling:
Heeling is a team exercise and can be lots of fun if you take the 'boring' out! Your canine partner has to "heel" for their entire career in competitive obedience and rally...It's your job to make it fun!!! This class will cover all kinds of games to motivate your dog and increase attention. Take a break from those repetitive, boring heeling routines and put some pep in their steps!

Novice/Level 1: Rally Obedience is a great way to practice the skills that you’ve been learning in your companion dog or puppy class, and use them to play a fun and challenging game with your dog. This class will focus on level 1 and/or level 2 exercises depending on the skill level of the participants. Experience is not required, but dogs enrolling in these classes should have a foundation in basic obedience (sit, down, stay, wait & polite leash walking) and they do not need to be perfected for starting rally-O!! The focus of this class is on the basic obedience skills and handling techniques necessary for the sport of rally obedience, as well as on the fundamental rules and judging criteria for Novice/Level I exercises.
Advanced/Level II: This course is meant for teams who have had previous experience with the sport of Rally Obedience. We will focus on advanced handling techniques, while also discussing the rules and judging criteria for Advanced/Level II exercises.
Teams registering for this class should be familiar with Novice/Level I exercises. Dogs enrolling in this class should have a strong foundation in obedience (sit, down, stay, wait, polite walking, recall) and should be able to work off-leash (with some in-class training).
Excellent/Level III: This course is meant for teams who have had previous experience with the sport of Rally Obedience. We will focus on advanced handling techniques, while also discussing the rules and judging criteria for Excellent/Level III exercises. Teams registering for this class should be familiar with Novice/Level I & Advanced/Level II exercises. Dogs enrolling in this class must have a strong foundation in obedience (sit, down, stay, wait, polite walking, recall) and must be able to work off-leash in a class setting.
Juniors Division (ages 8 to 18 years old) & Pre-Juniors (under 8 years): Rally workshops for kids and dogs.
Rally Games: Have some fun with our one-hour Rally Games workshops as you practice and proof your rally skills and learn to loosen ring nerves! Rally Games are essentials for every competitor and serve as a great way for newcomers to see just how much fun this dog sport really is!
($20/class drop-in rate, previous students)
Scent Games - Play with your dog as he learns to use his nose in a fun, creative environment and in an activity where ALL dogs are welcome to do what they do best - just be dogs! This class is designed to provide 'scenting' challenges that will give your dog a total mental workout. Humans learn how encouraging their dogs ability can become a part of the daily exercise and play routine that anyone can do! Class is open to all dog and handler teams and absolutely zero experience is required. Scent Games provide a great outlet for 'sniffy' dogs, for those who need to build some confidence, burn some steam or just spend some time trying something different!

This class fills quickly, so reserve your spot early! Teams that complete this class will have taken the first step in developing the foundation needed to move forward in a number of scenting activities - from the all new sport of K9 Nose Work to Competitive Tracking, Search & Rescue and much more!
The Nose Knows! An extension of the Scent Games classes held at Finish Forward Dogs, this nose work class will build on your dog's ability to find treats by introducing specific odors. This class is a mid-level foundation class extending the difficulties of the 'hides' and expanding on skills, which then can be transferred to organized canine scent sports, like K9 Nose Work and Tracking. A no-impact sport for all ages -- human and canine!. Learn to trust and 'read' your dog. This is a great way to mentally challenge your dog and keep him engaged and focused. No pre-requisites or special equipment needed.

Have fun with your dog while learning a few tricks about basic manners! This class is all about fun and will incorporate exercises from several different canine sports. Flyball, competitive obedience, agility and nosework. Excellent for building your dog's confidence and polishing up those basic skills of sit stay, heeling and recalls. Your dog will be having so much fun he won't even know he's in "school!"

Intro to Treibball - This class will build skills for working "away," and learning to push and direct the ball. Large exercise balls are used for this new sport! This sport is great for any breed. Build impulse control and self confidence! Dogs learn to move a ball with your verbal guidance to score a goal!
