For an all-around great family pet, start here!
Our Puppy Development class is a 6-week OPEN ENROLLMENT class, which means new puppies join each week - no more waiting for the next session to begin!
Puppies are welcome to join this class if they are between 8 and 20 weeks of age at time of enrollment. Puppies and their handlers select one of our 3 puppy class day/time offerings (Sundays at 9am, Tuesdays at 5pm, Saturdays at 10am) and then attend 6 one-hour lessons (once a week, over roughly 6 weeks) to learn about early socialization, simple basic training cues and common puppy challenges (bite inhibition, body handling, housebreaking, problem solving and crate training). Plenty of off leash play and positive introductions to novel items, including new footing, textures, sounds, sights and more makes our puppy program a popular choice.
As an added benefit (at no extra cost) puppies who are enrolled in our program have the option to attend the other two puppy classes at any time as they work towards attending six lessons in their original day/time offering. For example, register for the Tuesday class and attend both Saturday and Sunday classes whenever you choose - for not additional charge!
If you miss a week, no problem - let us know in advance and we'll just add a week to the end of your enrollment.
At the end of the 6-lesson program puppies and their handlers will have the opportunity to take the AKC ® S.T.A.R Puppy Test, issued by our own AKC ® approved CGC evaluator (open to both pure bred and mixed breed puppies). Qualifying puppies can receive a special certificate and a S.T.A.R Puppy medal from the AKC.
